The double sided diamond resin surfaces are perfect for getting both a slightly toothy edge or a refined, hair popping polished edge on your blades. Can the stones be soaked once applied on the backing plate?

I just got a backing plate for one of my natural stones and am wondering if I can soak the stone once I apply it? Other than this question I’ve loved every product I’ve purchased
